CLAIMS ADJUSTER ROLES

There are a number of roles in the insurance claims industry, and Vector Risk Solutions is always looking for talented individuals seeking to enter the claims industry or grow their career to join our team. Below are some of the roles we currently have available across several states.

Field Adjuster - Pre-Onboarding

A field adjuster is responsible for investigating and assessing property damage claims. They primarily handle claims related to homeowner’s insurance, commercial property insurance, daily claims, and other types of personal and commercial lines insurance. They work directly with policyholders and often meet with them face-to-face. Field adjusters typically work from home and travel to meet with policyholders as needed.

Desk Adjuster (CAT) - Pre-Onboarding

A desk adjuster is responsible for handling claims that have been designated as catastrophic. Desk adjusters typically work in an office setting and handle a high volume of claims. They work with policyholders, claimants, and vendors to ensure that claims are settled fairly and efficiently. Due to the nature of catastrophe claims, this role requires excellent time management and both written and verbal communication skills.

File Examiner - Pre-Onboarding

A file examiner is responsible for reviewing claims files to ensure accuracy and completeness. File examiners typically work in an office setting and may be required to travel to meet with policyholders as needed. They work with insurance carriers, policyholders, and claimants to ensure that all information is accurately captured and documented. A file examiner also reviews claims files for fraud and abuse.

REQUIREMENTS

We require a minimum of 3 years adjusting experience for any new applicants. Applicants that do not meet this strict standard will be disregarded.

We prefer agricultural or commercial related experience or a background in Agriculture. Training can be provided for adjusters with over 5 years non-Ag or non-commercial claims experience, however, we are very selective about this training.
